Clean. Simple. M3

New 2013 3 Series Styling, as controversial as the e90's?

From the creation of the 3 series all the way up to 2006 bmw had a very boxy body style. It was simple, with clean lines, and a mean look of aggression in the headlights. Frankly the last 3 series(2000-2006) is what really blew BMW up into a household car manufacture, as well as the series before that from the 1990's but this new body style and the one planned for 2013... well lets just say they were a divergence from what was previously characterized as BMW's signature.

2005 Geneva car show, the first place the 2007-present e90 series started, people loved the new innovation in power, chassis, safety, drivability, and all around effectiveness, the biggest problem though was the styling. Proportions seem to be the same from pretty much every single BMW generation, take into account i say proportions, not so much styling. BMW went for a softer look, a more "refined look" now some people like this but some people dont which is understandable but the look of an e40 3 series to an e90 3 series... it is obvious how much more curvaceous the e90 got. I absolutely love the small e40 3 series, they are beautiful, they look sporty and they handle very nicely as well, no doubt there that the new e90's also handle very well but they have gotten bigger, this much is obvious.Who can we thank for this, well his name is Chris Bangle, and he was introduced into all of this right around the time of this 2005 introduction to the new 3 series. Bangle is most known for this work on the huge 7 series, from 2002-2008, now if you read car and driver this car is rated as one of the worst cars of all time simply because of its styling and interface system, now if you cant see a problem there then something is going on.

e46
Further more i am not saying the new 3 series is that bad, i mean ive seen enough in person for it to grow on me and ive seen old ones against new ones and they do look more posh and expensive but not as sporty as they use to be. Finally moving on to the 2013 3 series, i see a huge problem. Over the years 3 series seem to be getting bigger and bigger, now there is a mini 5 series.
this angle may seem skewed but it is a shot of the car in the wild with no camo on. If you compare this with the current 5 series its a little mini me of the 5 series disguised as a 3 series, they have a squared round front end which was introduced on the new 5 series, and the hood is absolutely huge, this is no longer a small sports sedan its just a mini executive car. I can see the reference to the old 3 series with more boxy front end but at the same time it will never be as good looking as the e40 series. To me, at least, this new design doesn't look sporty at all, these differences may not even be noticeable by you guys but they are to me and they are pretty big changes to... again,to me at least. These cars also(rumored)will have a inline 4 turbo engine, and yet again we are going back to the turbos. I am slowly loosing my love for BMW, they are moving away from what got them big. Mind you though this does not include M, no matter what the cars look like we will always know M will deliver when they see fit, i just hope they can pull it off on this new mini me 5 series. Thanks for reading.

Quick Fix

2012 Fisker Karma is finally out what does this mean, well a quick little electric car, and what would be assumed with this? well tremendous mpg of course, and wait what is that you can only get 32 miles on that one charge... Fisker is geting absolutely slammed because of this let down, as well as the fact their turbocharged engine makes only 20mpg(maybe because the car weighs 2 and 1/2 tons!), now costing around 100K the car is very exclusive and very very nice, but really for 100K if your looking to save on fuel might as well buy 3 Priusi ( multiple Prius's?) , if your looking to go fast and have fun, as well as be green, might as well get the Porsche Panamera S Hybrid or a good ol gas burning Maserati

New Skyactic-G Mazda 3 just came out, sporting a manual transmission as well as a 40mpg rating it seems really to be just another add on to the Mazda 3 family. If anybody knows anything about Mazda 3 then it for sure is that this car sells like crazy and is wildly popular, this new Skyactiv version ,as described by Mazda, gets rid of all the junk and puts the driver back in focus. Seems like a very noble gesture, especially from a company that created the godsent handling mx-5, reviews seem to be good as well as that mpg, you can pick one up new for %15K-%23K

BIG NEWS: BMW M Division wants to make their own car... yes from the ground up, they dont want to base it off some boring current model, they want their own car which beats with a heart of gold, or should i say cast iron, and shows what the M Division is really capable of. Only problem is the big wigs at BMW want a solid pitch, and the only thing you need to do is show them your track record. M Division is the best and craziest and are up there with AMG side by side, hopefully this comes through and we can finally see a true M car

In more regional car news though it seems all the Germans cant stop fighting, Merc wants to build that sports coupe utility thing to compete with BMW and Audi is even going at BMW's throat with a concept car that might never be created... what is going on with this world. Anyways its nice to see this competition between all these guys, it will only produce the best of what they can give, and thats what we all want to see, only question is...where is Porsche in all these shenanigans?

Finally last part of the news, the Smart car is just not giving up, their sales had plummeted, and they sold less than 4000 cars in 2010(rumored). Why can't the Smart car just die, i mean great concept and all, just not really for me, but at the same time Smart is trying a different strategy, and a smart one. They dont want to change the market, they want to expose people to the market, very smart, especially since they are coming out with new updated electric models, and if anything Smart does "Green" well. Lets just sit back and see what happens.

Coupe SUV Crossover... why make such a monstrosity?

Did you just read that title, coupe suv crossover utility sports vehicle thing, i dont see where this idea stemmed from. These cars really do not make sense, there more scientific name is crossovers but really these cars do not cross over anything, they rather get stuck in the middle. Now this also may be a bit confusing and wrong becuase the classification of crossover and SUV is confused, bmw X5's can count as a crossovers or SUV's becuase SUV's are suppose to have a truck suspension and chassis while Crossovers are suppose to drive like cars but with the addition of SUV capabilities, so what we are looking at here are a "special breed" if you will bare with me on this, some would even call these cars Sports Activity Coupes... whatever thats suppose to mean.
The first crossover i can remember is this, the Infiniti fx45, now this may not look as extreme as the next ones i will mention, but this does carry the analogous structure among all crossovers, a well fitted front door and window line but then a steep cut from the midline to the back of the car. What does this result in, well for one you see out the back cause the headrests for the back seat get in the way and looking at it from this angle nothing is proportional. The front is a to stretched out, the car looks to long for its height, and back window is to short and the rear end of the car seems squished.
Nowadays you have a bunch of companies taking on this new "crossover" concept Acura, Honda, BMW, Hyundai, Subaru, almost everybody but of course some look better than others here are a few examples.

The funny thing is these are actually popular, now if you have one thats great im sure they drive great but looking at them... lets just say they are looks only a mother could love, i personally think your better off getting an X5, or X3 if thats to big, or a Acura MDX or RDX, there are alot of choices out there, and frankly you get more space in those cars than you ever would in these, and becuase this cars are so far and few they cost more to maintain. It really does depends on the buyer though, the car market is huge and you do have alot of choice, but if you asking me, ditch the Sports Utiility active sports coupe or whatever they are called and go with the good old SUV or Crossover SUV(BMW X5!, hopefully my next suv) Thanks for reading! (btw i dont really mind the X6 :p)

Quick Fix

New Camaro convertible ZL1 has just come out, personally i am not a big fan of the Camaro in general but it does look pretty sweet as a convertible, and stock you will be getting around 580 BHP. Now considering that its a convertible it is probably not as agile in the corners, as well as the straight in comparison to the coupe but it will put down that is for sure.

Rumor: Next M3 is expected to have a tri-turbo, now just thinking about that will send chills down anybodies back. (For those who are not familier with a Turbo it is a form of Forced Induction, it forces air into the cylinders of the car and with more air means more fuel can be added and this allows for a more violent combustion reaction and that equals more power) There will be pretty much lag free interruption i am guessing, and one of the turbos will be electric, so running off another? we shall have to weight and see, but this next M3 is also going to utilize carbon fibre and strengthened plastics in its construction so that weight-to-power ratio will be ridiculous.

Mercedes Spy Photos of the SLS AMG have come out, styling has not really changed maybe some larger wheel arces and front diffusor but overall the same body, which means the same rear end, which means the same bad looks it gives. It will be one hell of a car though especially since those AMG guys are absolute maniacs when it come to power.

Audi RS5 is expected to come out soon in the U.S., and if anybody watched the top gear episode regarding the RS5 and the M3 you know you might as well get an M3 haha, and frankly i agree with them, but the RS5 is still a beautiful car, especially now with some upgrades to its looks in the front with the diffusor and some new styling in the back of the car with the trunk lid and exhaust.

Today Rensport IV had occurred, which is the gathering of pretty much every Porsche in the WORLD! Cars from the beginning of Porsches carrer all the way to the brand new 911 were there, photos were taken like crazy and there were some racing classics there which look just as good as the new moderns Porsches

Other than that the Car World is doing well and tomorrow expect some updates on the Racing Circuit, Thanks for reading.

Am I a sinner if i dont like the Bugatti Veyron?

The Bugatti Veyron is a fast car, there is no doubt about that, but besides that... I really do not see anything I really like about it. I know i could be chastised for this, but, I dont like how it looks. Looking at pictures of this barreling down straights, or taking a turn the thing looks big and bulky and just plain ugly. Let me go through everything that I believe proves my point, It will look at the car from top to bottom and will ONLY go over looks, i will not even get near the performance aspect of the car for my own sake and yours.

Imagine waking up to that every morning, one thing is sure, you are rich and you sure as hell aren't afraid to spend money, this car is the epitome of what we have come to know as street cars, but for me not the looks. Firstly look at that grill, i mean just look at it, its big, its boisterous, its tremendously obtrusive it is one of the key parts that defines the Bugatti Veyron. I hate it, that accompanied with the almost overly rounded front bumper makes it a not so pretty car. This car could have really benefitted from more straight lines, or squar-ish curves. The Wheels are absolutely huge, and are not pretty at all, they look tremendously heavy and just bulky. From the back, the exhaust looks absolutely awesome i love that part of that car, but the huge brake lights just ruin it, they are so big, i mean you can see those from a mile away. Besides this car being tremendously wide to, the fenders bend to much in the back, i want some straight lines, its like you take a perfect little lancia, for all intensive purposes lets treat this like its a fit young man, and what Bugatti seems to have done is take away all of the boxiness, and bloated it, quite frankly i feel like this car is bloated. It is also unproportional, if you look at a side view of this car you will notice that the cabin is slanted and that back doesn't seems to match up with the front.

Bugatti Veyron - Bugatti Poster - Car Bugatti
See what i mean? Back looks lower than the front, front is to big and the curves in the back arent very pretty to look at. My favorite part about all of this is the interior though,
The colors that are offered for this cars interior are absolutely ridiculous, why cant people just stick with grey, black, tan, and white. There is nothing wrong with those colors infact those colors are amazing, here though, i can only imagine what you would call this in the dealership.
 Would you like:
Black
White with Snake Skin
Candy Land white and Lollipop red
orrrrr Milk Chocolate brown?
hmmm i think ill take Milk Chocolate Brown.
Now i am bagging on this car, i am not going to lie, this is an amazing car hands down i would never want to race it, but if i had to choose any other besides this i would have a very short list if i was shooting for the same price range. Pagani Zonda F, Mclaren F1, Koenigsegg Agera or CCX. These cars look amazing, are amazing, and i believe are the best that we have right now. Im probably forgetting a few, but bear with me. I know alot of people will not agree with me and i hope nobody gets mad, but this is what i think, Thank you for reading.

Quick Fix:

Audi 2013 S8 has been announced, an absolute beast of a car, twin turbo V-8

Delorean coming back strong: Delorean recently released plans saying that they might make an electric powered delorean for 2013... that good zero to sixty in 4.9 seconds, now im pretty sure that the fastest an delorean will ever go.

Lotus claiming that their new battery power plans for the Tesla will propel it to 60 in just 4.5 seconds, that is probably true but i am not sure if the styling is what it should be for a Lotus, take a look.

Kawasaki came out with their new Ninja ZX-14R, they say its the fastest production bike ever built... yet they post no time hmmm.....????

Aston Martin boat! A Aston Martin owner decided to make a sketch of a boat and call it the Voyage, either he is crazy or really loves Aston Martin

The New 2012 BMW M5

Now many of you probably dont know that I am a BMW LOVER, but having an e46 m3(best looking m3 ever made in my opinion) makes you appreciate what the M division is and what they do. Stemming all the way from the 60's and seventies the M division was made to win races and manage BMW racing program, and man did they ever. They over took the bests on the racing circuits and proclaimed their car, as well as their slogan, The Ultimate Driving Machine. Focusing onto the M5, the M5 stems from a regular 5 series. The first one(E28) being made in 1985, then next in the 90's (e34), then the e39 the most revered m5 ever made, next is the E60, and finally today the most powerful and quickest M5 ever built the F10 M5. Boasting a projected 560 hp engine, duel or manual transmission, 0-60 time in projected 3.8 seconds and comes in at a colossal 4350 pounds. You can get this very nice looking car at around 90K base.
Looks: The previous M5 (E60) was not the most pretty M5 that has ever been produced, or even car in general, but with the new look that BMW is taking, it seems to fit perfectly into this new M5. Styling is sleek even with a 193.3 in. length this car can still be seriously sexy. You have a huge diffusor in the front, common of all M's now days, quad pipes in the back which is just a signature of the M series, and of course the M badges all over the car. The premium M edition wheel hottens the whole look of the car and the beautiful metallic blue that BMW choose to drape on the new M5 body fits it perfectly.  The interior is absolutely beautiful, especially with the smooth leather, and well laid out buttons and the beautiful red and blue cross stitching on the steering wheel. Every part of this car is top notch and nothing was spared in the development of it either.
Power: Sporting a nice grunty V-8 with Turbo Chargers  the car produces 560 bhp, and even weighing 4350 pounds the car will blast off to 60 in under 4 seconds, which is absolutely tremendous for an executive car. Having either a Dual Clutch or Manual this can can put power down across the board, all the way from 1k rpm to its redline at about 7200rpm, all of this putting together a quarter mile in 12.1 seconds, and a top speed of possibly 200 mph! Accompanying all of this is a quad pipe exhaust, letting out beautiful notes of that twin turbo V-8
Handling- Inherent with the M division and BMW is handling, known for breaking power and the feel of the road the M division knows how to set up their suspension. This new M5 is no exception to that rule, being as heavy as it is it can still turn on a dime with a traditional hydraulic steering setup, and it can also stop on a dime with huge ceramic brakes and large cross drilled break rotors.
Final thoughts: The most important part in the whole article !
The New m5 is great, it is a fast, ridiculous, sexy, and cool a car that literally anybody could drive, it handles well, its goes fast, its prestigious, its expensive and its just not M.... I know this all seems anticlimactic and all but look at everything i said before and there was one discrepancy, the turbo chargers. Ever since the first m's, Natural Aspiration was always at the heart of M cars, the high reeving beautiful sound of them reverberated through time and space.... maybe not that dramatic but they reverberated through every soul of true car lovers, the engine that just kept going. Now though with the new line of Forced induction M's on the loose there is no telling whether BMW will go back to their ways of revy small inline sixes or if they will continue down the path of power hungry, turbo charging monsters. Either way is promising, but for the people who hold M to their true form from the 70's, 80's 90's and early 2000's what we want are High Revving turbo free inline sixes, v-6's, v-8's, or v-10's that are pure savages, and its all we'll ever need.
